Chelsea Football Club is one of the most popular football clubs across the globe. During the early 1900s, the club has been founded and is one of the best teams of English Premier League. This club has won some big titles and trophies and carved a niche among in the football world.

Chelsea is popularly known as the 'The Blues' with a huge fan following across the globe. Millions of local and foreign popular players are signed with spending millions of pounds. Rich businessman, Roman Abramovich, the current owner of Chelsea FC has successfully expanded its horizons by signing some bigwigs, such as Didier Drogba of Ivory Coast and Petr Cech of Czech Republic.

In the year 2003, Chelsea was bought by Abramovich for approximately £140 million. He appointed Jose Maurinho as the manager of this club. He was the winner of Champions League with FC Porto and their stunning combination has made Chelsea a great success.

Abramovich has done some great deals for the club, which includes signing Juan Sebastian Veron from Manchester United for £15 million, Claude Makelele from Real Madrid for £14 million, Damien Duff from Blackburn Rovers for £17 million and Joe Cole and Glen Johnson from West Ham for £6.6 million and £6 million respectively.
