Chelsea Clinton Entered Wedded Bliss As America Looked On

Chelsea Clinton is wed. For numerous people, this comes as a bit of a shock to the system and brain as for many, the enduring memory of Chelsea Clinton is as the gawky twelve year old who lived within the White House with her parents during the nineties.

But she is no longer that gawky twelve year old who very first came into the consciousness of the United States because of her father's presidential run in 1992. Instead, she is really a poised woman, a thirty year old college graduate of Stanford University with Masters Degrees from studies at both Oxford and Columbia. Of course, with the brains her parents have, it's not a lot of a surprise that she would wind up going to high powered universities, but that's still an impressive list.

Over the years there happen to be numerous presidential kids who have come to be known by the voting public. These days you will find the daughters of President and Mrs. Obama, Malia and Sasha. Sasha Obama is the youngest child of a President since John Kennedy, Jr. was an infant. Amy Carter was a little younger when her father became president than Malia Obama was. Often the kids of the president are adults living their own lives by the time their fathers get elected to the Oval office.

Chelsea Clinton's marriage was held in the little town of Rhinebeck, NY on the Hudson River. It's doubtful that Chelsea got a great night's sleep on a nice memory foam mattress the night prior to her wedding. The excitement of the wedding being so close most likely would make for a restless night sleep no matter how comfortable a mattress she may have had, and because she was most likely not staying anywhere near her normal bed and mattress, her sleep would happen to be that much more disrupted.

The Clintons worked very hard to sustain Chelsea's privacy throughout her years within the White House and she has managed to sustain that level of privacy for herself as an adult. The Obamas are also trying to sustain a similar level of privacy with their daughters, and are most likely hopeful that Malia and Sasha can sustain themselves and represent themselves well as Chelsea Clinton has done. It's hard for most anyone to sustain their sanity and a sense of perspective as they grow up in the public eye, and that much more impossible when your father is President of the United States. The public feels a sense of proprietary ownership for the kids of the President even though they aren't the politicians. In essence, these kids are the princes and princesses of America.
