Blackburn Rovers - The Pure Entertainment Experience

Out of all the premiership sides outside the top two or three, I have to admit I always enjoy watching Blackburn Rovers whenever they're on the box.

In my opinion, if ever a team has mirrored the image of their manager it has to be Rovers - robust, attacking and with a fair sprinkling of individual brilliance and a few wonder goals thrown in for good measure.

Mark Hughes has certainly done a fantastic job in my opinion since arriving at Ewood Park a few years back. Sure, they've taken a few poundings - not least this seasons thumping by Arsenal at the Emirates - but they always represent good value for entertainment.

They've got some real character in the team, even if most of that character is provided by that annoying little Welshman with the golden locks in midfield. They've got a fantastic goalkeeper who has not only made save after spectacular save but also managed to get on the scoresheet himself in recent times. They've got some pace up front and hard characters at the back but in midfield they've got some fantastic invention.

Pederson, Bentley and Tugay all have tremendous vision and an eye for goal which always makes you believe they can pull something out of the bag. The thing I love about Blackburn is that they seem to go out and try to win every game. Some of the time they manage to pull out some unbelievable results and goals for that matter, but when it doesn't work it really does seem to go wrong for them. Either way, entertainment is more often than not guaranteed.

I don't believe in the notion of having a 'second team' but if this can ever be an accepted idea then I'll go with the might Blackburn Rovers. Long may they entertain.
