Notting Hill - London Carnival

An area in West London, England close to the north-western corner of Hyde Park, and lying within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea that is notting hill.

Notting Hill Carnival, the setting for the 1999 film Notting Hill starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant, and for being home to the Portobello Road Market. Notting Hill Carnival is an annual event which takes place each August, over two days

Notting Hill Gate started as a turnpike gate constructed at the foot of the hill on the main road from London to Uxbridge, which is now known as Oxford Street, Bayswater Road and Holland Park Avenue included in the route. The Notting Hill Gate was made to hinder people from passing along the road without paying. The proceeds were allocated towards the maintenance of this significant road. Later in the 19th century, the gate was removed. Now there are alot of Attractions and Activities like Rock Climbing, Wall climbing you can also visit the Notting Hill Art Club and Portobello Road Market.

Notting Hill in west London is one of the most fashionable nightspots in the city, and a frequent haunt of celebrities and clubbers. With a huge choice of bars, pubs, restaurants and clubs, the area sees an influx of visitors ready to party. Also historically been one of the most culturally diverse areas of the city, and the legacy of that history can still be experienced in the area today. Although in recent years the area has gradually become more upmarket.
