Don'ts For Football Club Owners

Ever wish that you were the owner of a football club? Ever think that one day in the unpredictable future that you would be the owner of a football club? It sure would good to be the owner a club like Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona or even Inter Milan. Not only could your face feature in the sports section of the news but also the business section. Well, if you happen to have the opportunity to own a football club, here are some don'ts for you future or even those who's aspiring to own a football club.

1. Don't get too much involve in the footballing aspect of the club.
If you're the club owner, then act as a club owner. If you rather prefer to mingle in matters such as the training of the player, how the team should play, who should start a match and all that then apply to be the club manager. When you're the club owner, that's the reason you hire a club manager, to handle the on pitch matters of the club. By not getting too much involved also can be an advantage to you if your team is not performing, at least the fans would call for the head of the manager first.

2. Don't get involve in the player transfer of your club.
It is better not to get too smart by choosing which player you buy and which player you sell. Again, leave this matter to the manager. The player you sell might have the star factor, but then again he might not be in the plan of the manager. If this happen, it only leads to one thing, waste of club money because the player will eventually cost you so much in transfer and his wages but only play the role of a bench warmer or almost a second fiddle player. But if you want to have a star player in the club for marketing sack, better to just give the manager a huge sum of money and tell him you want a star. That way if the player turns out to be a flop, you'll know who to put the blame on: the manager.

3. Don't think that owning a football club is all about the money.
Sure if you own a football club you can get lots of profit in return if you manage it right. Owning a football club is also a performance base business. There are a few clubs out there that are rich in money but not in history of winning. Even the fans loved it if the club that they support has a winning culture. Assemble a squad that is performance driven. Challenge your team to achieve something great like winning the league. This way, you not only create a legacy of your own but also can increase the revenue of your club through sponsors and prize winning money.

4. Don't think that owning a club is just like owning something else.
Owning a football club is not just a matter of hiring the right staff and ensuring that the club has enough funds for its operation. It also requires you to be a fan of your club. As a club owner you have to know that your presence at your club match can be a motivation for the player. Show that you care for the club and that you want them to perform. And if you can't make it to every match, at least come to your club important and derby matches.
